The SLV Yetis 18U combined momentum hockey in the opener with disciplined execution in a tight second win.

The SLV Yetis 18U delivered a complete performance across two games, earning wins over NCYH Gray and NCYH Navy that highlighted both offensive depth and strong game management.

In the opening matchup against NCYH Gray, the Yetis established control early and built momentum as the game progressed. After taking a first period lead and trading goals in the second, SLV raised its level in the third period, scoring three times to pull away for a 5–2 victory.

That final period surge reflected confidence and execution. Cael Canaan scored the game winning goal and added another later in the period, while Reagan Curtis finished a power play opportunity to cap the scoring. Foster Boyd was steady in net throughout, stopping 19 shots and keeping the Yetis settled during key stretches.

The second game required a different approach. Facing NCYH Navy, the Yetis jumped ahead with two first period goals, including a finish by Jonah Pittman and an unassisted effort from Jediah Montoya. From there, the pace tightened and the focus shifted to structure and patience.

NCYH applied pressure as the game went on, but the Yetis stayed in control and executed when it mattered most. The deciding moment came in the third period when Clive Bahr scored the game winner off a setup from Brady Van Iwaarden. Boyd once again provided consistent goaltending as SLV closed out a 3–2 win.

Across both games, the Yetis showed growth in how they handled momentum shifts, protected leads, and capitalized on opportunities. The pair of wins reflected skill, leadership, and a strong understanding of how to manage different game situations.
